The Oximetry Sensor measures the relative amount of oxygen saturation present in the blood (SpO2), which would normally be between 95% and 100%. People suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) may have a decreased oxygen level.
The sensor is placed on the finger and connects to the digital input of the
NeXus-10 or
NeXus-32. Since the NeXus-4 does not have a digital input, the Oximetry Sensor cannot be used in combination with the NeXus-4.
Respiratory feedback by using the Respiration Sensor, could improve oxygen levels. The Oximetry Sensor for NeXus allows therapists to monitor the improvement.
The specifications of the Oximetry Sensor are:
Parameter: Oximetry
Resolution: Steps of 1% saturation
Range: 0-100%
